He's thrilled to spend time with the usually too busy Ivy and hopes as they work side by side, romantic feelings for him will develop. The story really takes off when Ivy's friend Moe is linked to the arson, goes missing, and his only friend turns up dead. Flashover holds page-turning suspense from the first page until the last.
