Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.

A: I’m a native New Yorker. I was born in the city, but we moved to Long Island when I was in third grade so I grew up near the ocean. Even though I live in Brooklyn now, my heart will always be by the water. I’m a teacher, a wife and mother of two grown daughters. We also have a dog and cat. We adopted

Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?

A: I’ve been writing fiction for 15 years. Before that I was a journalist and public relations manager. I worked mostly for associations and school districts. My favorite job was writing medical summaries and pitching stories to the media for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Q: Do you write in only one genre and if so which one and why? If not, which ones and why?

We’ve lived in southern Africa for almost twelve years now where we are involved in discipleship, church planting, and humanitarian work.
