A. I live in west Michigan with my husband and four kids (ages 13, 11, 9, and 2). Two are in regular school and one is homeschooled, so I spend most of my time teaching, packing lunches, driving kids places, and cleaning up Cheerios off the floor. Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A. I have been writing since I was thirteen. Through all those years, I’ve been everything from a dispatcher for chimney sweeps, an admin for a blacksmith, a salesperson of cell phones, and currently am a Director of HR & Organizational Development! You can definitely say the day job has added some pizazz to my novel writing.

Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A. My career journey before writing was wonderfully eclectic, however the majority of the time, I worked in various sections and roles within emergency services at the local, state and federal levels. These included two large fire departments, FEMA Urban Search and Rescue, and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security.
