Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.

A:  I live in a small rural area in Ohio with my husband and our pets—2 dogs; 2 parrots; and 5 fish. I was a speech therapist for more than 30 years in Ohio schools but retired in 2012 because of health issues.

Q: How did you get your start writing fiction and what genre do you predominantly write in?

A:  I have been writing since I was kid. I was always writing short stories and poems. I finally got my start when I began entering the contests at Harlequin. It is thanks to one of these that I got my first contract with Love Inspired Suspense. The contest was The Search for a Killer Voice. My main genre is suspense, although I have
