Q: How did you get your start writing fiction and what genre do you predominantly write in?
A. I started out writing mysteries. I’ve always been a fan of mysteries so it was the natural choice. I wrote two or three books for small publishers, and then in 2007, I was given the chance to write cozy mysteries for a book club. I wrote several books for them, but unfortunately the club folded. Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A. My first published novel (Burning Hearts, Book One in the Sanctuary Point series Desert Breeze Publishing) released in 2013. I got serious about learning the craft of fiction writing two years before that. In the real world, I worked in the the bridal manufacturing business and attended bridal shows in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, NYC, and Las Vegas.

Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I relate to the character in a time travel drama who doesn’t quite fit in with the modern world around her. Somewhat on the prim and proper side, I love classic movie musicals, vintage hats, and listening to Frank Sinatra.
Q: When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
A. The revelation hit me when I was almost finished with a four-year college degree
