Q: What one thing would you like readers to know about you?
A. Well that I love the Lord and follow Jesus Christ, of course, but more than that, I’m also writing because the Lord not only called me to write, He chased me down and dragged me into it! Ha! I write to glorify God.
Q: What is the craziest, most risk-taking thing you’ve ever done?
A. I’m only a risk-taker in heart. LOLOL But that’s one reason why writing is so awesome. There are a thousand things I would love to experience but would never do, but through writing and research, I can jump from a plane or hike into a jungle and rescue someone. So for me the craziest thing I’ve ever done is jog late at night in the city. That was back when I was young and “invincible”! Ha!
Q: Tell me three things about yourself that would surprise your readers.
A: I’m not sure there’s anything left in my life that would surprise readers. Ha! Maybe it’s that writing suspense comes naturally for me since I grew up in a fearful family. Don’t do this or that will happen. When I lived on my own before I got married, I used to check all the doors and closets when I’d come home to my apartment. I could always imagine someone lying in wait. See? Suspense comes naturally to me.
Q: Would you tell us about your current book release DON’T KEEP SILENT and where the idea for this story came from?
A: Don’t Keep Silent is the third and final installment of the UNCOMMON JUSTICE Series, and is Liam McKade’s story. Readers read about Liam in Never Let Go (Book 1) and met Liam in Always Look Twice (Book 2), and I hope they’re eager to read his story in book three. When I started the story I had a blurb and I knew that Liam was a DEA agent and I knew that Rae was an investigative reporter. I also knew that I wanted this story to be my “winter in Jackson Hole” story because I’ve spent a few winters skiing there. So yes, it was also my snowmobile and ski story! You might wonder how one starts a premise with those elements. That was easy enough given the setting. I started with a premise—someone close to Rae has to go missing, and she and Liam needed a painful past. I just wrote and let the story unfold from there.
Here’s the back cover copy: Investigative reporter Rae Burke will do anything to find her missing sister-in-law, even if it means facing Liam McKade, a man who almost lost his life saving hers. My grandfather was police chief in a small town. He would always “check” the house before we could go in after being gone even for only a short while.

I check even the bathroom and I will pull back the shower curtain. I do love my suspense. I do feel bad for my husband if I get married but then again he should have discovered this about me already.
