Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I’m a wife and a mother of two young adults. I love to read, and I’ve begun to seriously enjoy listening to audio books. I write full time so listening to books is a lot easier on my eyes.
Q: When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
A. My early 30s.
Q: What do you write and why this genre?
A. I am published in romantic suspense, romantic mystery, and contemporary romance. I received my first traditional contract for a contemporary romance series, but my desire to write romantic suspense and mystery never faltered. It took several years, but I eventually sold a romantic mystery series to my current publisher. I recently published my first romantic suspense.
Q: Do you base your characters on people you know or are they totally made up?
A: All of my characters are made up, however I do use characteristics from personalities that I’ve encountered.
Q: Would you tell us about your current book release The Sleuth’s Conundrum?
A: Sure! The Sleuth’s Conundrum is book three in the Librarian Sleuth Mystery series. Here is the back cover blurb. Adam and Tara are sucked into a police investigation that might get Tara killed. Can Adam keep her safe or will he lose her forever?
Tara James, the local librarian assistant, is afraid her past will catch up to her when an infant is abandoned outside the Tipton County Library. Will news of the abandoned baby stir up publicity and force her to go on the run again?
Librarian Nancy Daley’s world has become complicated. Carter is pushing to set a wedding date, a woman was left for dead on the side of the road, and Tara, her assistant, is acting strange. Nancy is working every angle she can think of, but the case goes from bad to bizarre. Can she find the baby’s mother, help Tara, and plan her wedding without upsetting her life’s delicate balance?
Slow news days become a thing of the past for local reporter Adam Stacy when a dead body is discovered on the side of the road. Was the woman murdered or was it an accident? Adam’s feelings are growing for Tara, but she appears to have secrets she’s hiding. Is she somehow connected to the abandoned infant?
When things go from bad to worse Adam does everything in his power to protect Tara, but will it be enough?
Q: Where did the idea for this story come from?
A. The idea for the series was inspired by Nancy Drew Mysteries. The actual inspiration for this mystery was found on a website for mystery ideas. It was something about an abandoned baby. I don’t recall the exact starter since once I saw the idea my imagination took over and my story was born.
Q: Would you share with us what you are working on now?
A. I’m currently writing the next book in my Brides of Seattle series. By the time this post goes live, I hope to have it completed as well as have written the movie adaptation for it. Adapting my books to screenplay is a relatively new passion.
Q: Tell me three things about yourself that would surprise your readers.
A. I don’t like any kind of ground meat, I enjoy the music made to calm dogs lol, and I hate lima beans—yes hate.
