Q: What one thing would you like readers to know about you?
A: That I really like to hear from readers, and I answer everything I receive. (Contact me through my website or Facebook.)
Q: What is the craziest, most risk-taking thing you’ve ever done?
A: I kind of hate to admit this, because it was a ridiculous thing to do and I’d never, never do it now, but long ago my former husband and I, along with our toddler, hitch-hiked from Florida to Colorado.
Q: Tell me three things about yourself that would surprise your readers.
A: I’m 4’11” tall, even shorter than my “little old lady” heroine Ivy. I was born on an Indian reservation and am a member of the tribe. When I first married, all I knew how to cook were brownies.
Q: Would you tell us about your current book release Desert Dead, Book #3 in the Mac ‘n’ Ivy Mysteries series?
A: Seniors Ivy and Mac are happily anticipating their delayed honeymoon in Baja. Beaches, romance, sunshine! But a panicky phone call from old friend Magnolia changes everything. Magnolia has found—and then lost!—a dead body in a desert ghost town.
Ivy and Mac decide it won’t take long to make a side trip to Arizona to help out their friend. But it turns into a trip that’s more than searching for a missing body, and Ivy and Mac find themselves deep into mystery and mayhem. With a killer who intends to put them into the category of the missing dead.
Q: Where did this idea come from?
A: Ivy’s friend Magnolia has always been a bit aghast at Ivy’s tendency to get involved with murder and killers, so I wondered how she’d feel if she just happened to find a dead body.
