Q: What one thing would you like readers to know about you?
A: I love music. I’m always listening to music and singing along—usually every word! I often write to music too.
Q: What is the craziest, most risk-taking thing you’ve ever done?
A: I’m not much of a risk taker! I rode a roller coaster for my 40th birthday, and I never want to get on one again. When I was younger I used to love them, but now I don’t. I can live vicariously through the dangers that my characters face.
Q: Tell me three things about yourself that would surprise your readers.
A: 1) I almost worked in intelligence (another reason I love writing this new series, 2) I was a national debate champion and 3) I have a Master’s in Middle Eastern studies
Q: Would you tell us about your current book release End Game and where the idea for this story came from?
A. End Game is the first book in the Capital Intrigue series. This series features three friends who all went to Georgetown Law School, but ended up taking different career paths—an FBI agent, a CIA analyst, and a State Department lawyer. END GAME features an FBI and NCIS agent trying to solve the murders of special ops members in the DC area. I’m not quite sure how the original idea came to me. I develop most of my ideas as I write, so I only had a very general concept to start with.
