A Killer Among Us is book three in Lynette Eason’s Women of Justice series. This book features police detectives Noah and Kit (Kit is also a hostage negotiator) who catch a serial killer case. Noah and Kit are new partners, just getting to know each other, when the investigation begins.
As they investigate the murders and as the killer also targets them, Noah and Kit find themselves attracted to each other. But both of them carry past baggage that they need to get beyond before they can move forward.
Eason has penned a fast moving suspense story with great police procedural details. She provides the reader with two interesting and flawed main characters that are perfect together. Noah is a strong Christian with a great desire to reach the lost and help the hurting by sharing his faith in a low key manner. Kit’s faith is shaky, as she works toward anger issues with her adoptive mother. A great combination as Noah’s strength compliments Kit’s weakness. All of this combined with a plot filled with twists and turns, and very creepy villain’s point of view and you have a romantic suspense book that you won’t want to put down.
