Review – Emergency Response

On her way to visit a little girl she recently helped save, paramedic Darcie Stephens is attacked by a stranger dead-set on killing her. My thoughts: 

EMERGENCY RESPONSE is a fast read. Darcie is a EMT/paramedic and is checking on a family with a handicapped little girl when suddenly, someone is trying to choke her to death. The first page — the action starts. And doesn’t stop. The thing that stands out is that the “bad guys” are bad shots and cannot hit the broad side of a barn. Lucky for Darcie and Noah! But the hits never stop coming, Darcie’s locations are compromised and Noah won’t leave her side unless she has someone with her that he trusts. Car bombs. Attempted strangulation. Shootings. And murders that seem to be related to the case. Are they? I read this through in one sitting and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. If you like romantic suspense, Susan Sleeman is one of the best Love Inspired Suspense authors out there.
