TANGLED PAST
After Ian Stone discovers he was kidnapped when he was a baby, he journeys to his “family’s” hometown—and is shot at shortly after he arrives. Now he’s convinced the Spencers don’t want their long-lost brother, Luke, to return and claim his inheritance. But local chief of police Sylvie Laurent doesn’t believe his siblings would try to kill him. And the stubborn woman is determined to protect him until she uncovers the truth. At first, Sylvie is skeptical of Ian’s story…but he bears a strong resemblance to the Spencers. And they’ll have to work together to stay ahead of the danger if they want to live to see him reunited with his family at Christmas.
My Take:
High Speed Holiday, the final book in Katy Lee’s Roads To Danger series, was a good read and satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed getting to know Luke Spencer, his story and what he had been through.
I also thought the suspense was good and I loved that the other Spencers were in this story. But, there was just something about the book that I didn’t love as much as the first two books…it might just have been me and the time that I read the book.
Still, it was a very good story and I did enjoy it a lot. I recommend the series if you enjoy romantic suspense. I can’t wait for Katy’s next book!
I’m an avid reader who loves books that keep me glued to the page, anticipating what is going to happen next, and suspense books definitely give me that!
