On her cable news show, Judgment Day with Suzanne Kidwell, Suzanne positions herself as the cable news show’s champion of ethics and morality, wanting to expose corruption among businessmen, religious leaders, and politicians. Her half-baked investigative techniques and creative embellishments get her into trouble, threatening her career. For Suzanne, it’s all about ratings!
Her boyfriend is killed in a car accident, Cecilia Forbes from his office is found dead in Suzanne’s apartment, and she has Cecelia’s blood all over her hands when she awakens to the police pounding at her door, and is promptly arrested. She retains her ex-fiancé, Marcus Crisp, and his partner, Alexandria Fisher-Hawthorne, to investigate her case, but they hesitatingly taken her on.
From that point on, Wanda spins a story that has you reeling page after page with threats, bribes, exasperation, wit, and sarcasm from circumstances revolving around Suzanne’s interloping excursions. I loved to see how Wanda dispersed the romantic tension between Suzanne and Marcus, which had to be exasperating to Alexandria!
Wanda’s story is fast-paced, and holds your attention throughout. The family dilemmas give the story a very personal touch, giving you time to exhale before the next episode of danger begins. Her characters and the dangers they encountered were very true-to-life. Her book could easily become a movie or TV series. It would be realistic, yet clean to watch!
For my first book by Wanda L. Dyson, I’d give it a 5.0 rating! Intricately-woven, twisting plots make the book great. I’ll be checking out her earlier books!
