But when two of the bridesmaids from the wedding party die suspiciously, Megan searches out Alec to see if he can help her figure out why they were killed. Alec, now a sheriff, suspected foul play and though he is surprised to see Megan his agrees to help her investigate. This begins a suspenseful mystery that you won’t want to put down until the conclusion and a rekindling of a romance that warms the heart as you shiver in Halls very wintery scenery.
As usual in a Linda Hall book, the characters are well-developed, likeable and flawed. The descriptions are so vivid you feel as if you’re in the snowy cold, fighting for your life with the characters. And the mystery and suspense? Yup, you got it. One that keeps you reading until the end. So be sure to pick up a copy of On Thin Ice, and if you missed book one in the series be sure to purchase it too. You don’t need to read them in order but you won’t want to miss either one.
