Cruse, feeling guilty over not protecting his sister in the past, vows to protect Bayley from her stalker. No matter the cost, no matter where it leads, even if it takes him into very dangerous territory.
With the pair together most of the time, it doesn’t take long for them to develop feelings for each other. But both of them have reasons for not pursuing a relationship, and thus begins great romantic tension that keeps the reader turning the page.
Perfect Target is Stephanie Newton’s first novel and she has entered the Christian romantic suspense market with a bang. The suspense is gripping, the romance realistic, the faith message relevant and real. Her characters grab your heart and won’t let you go as you root for them to solve the murder and overcome their obstacles to come together.
There is nothing I like better than to find a new fiction voice that leaves me wanting to read more. Newton is such a voice. Fresh, original, and captivating. Newton will follow up Perfect Target with Moving Target in August of 2009. I for one will be anxiously waiting for that release. So pick up Perfect Target now and join me in the wait.
