Well, maybe someone IS!
The Unseen by T.L. Hines delves into the life of Lucas, an urban explorer. A loner who can’t remember his life before the orphanage and lives in the infrastructure of corporate buildings and warehouses. But Lucas isn’t your average Creeper. He lives by a code of ethnics and never watches people in their own homes.
While fighting the “Dark Vibration” within, Lucas looks for a connection with those he watches, making up stories of their lives, unknowingly trying to fill in his own memory gaps.
He’s content with his existence until he is discovered and recruited by the Creep Club. A less scrupulous group of urban explorers who gather information and video footage on people in their homes, for the sheer art and enjoyment of the clubs’ members.
But when lives of the watched are threatened and no one is doing a thing to help, Lucas steps out from the shadows to lend a helping hand. Unfortunately he doesn’t know who he can trust and is soon neck deep in mystery, danger, espionage and conspiracies, fighting not only for the lives of the seemingly innocent, but for his own.
The Unseen is a perfect blend of character and plot which kept me turning the pages and emotionally involved despite the “emotionless” character. But there’s a reason for that which all wraps up nicely in the end.
And if you think “creeping” is all fiction. Check out infiltration.org which T.L. Hines sites in The Unseen.
