In Point Blank Protector, Stephanie Newton’s latest romantic suspense novel for Love Inspired Suspense we meet undercover DEA agent Tyler Clark. He has come home to Sea Breeze after years of living undercover to reclaim a life he’s forgotten how to live. Before he can get on with things, he has to meet with Gracie VanDoren the shrink for local police department to be cleared for his next assignment.
But before she has the chance to meet with him, her life is threatened and even if she refuses to date him, Tyler isn’t going to let her face the danger on her own. Together they track down the person trying to harm Gracie and uncover something that rocks Gracie to her core. And of course, develop a strong interest in one another.
It’s no secret that I am a huge Stephanie Newton fan. I have read all of her books and have never been disappointed. Point Blank Protector is no exception. Newton just does it all right. Great, well-developed characters, an interesting and often twisting plot, strong heroes who you can route for, and heroines you can sympathize with. She does all this and makes it seem effortless with her writing style that places you right there in the action and in the scenes, visualizing the action unfold right in front of you.
So if you love romantic suspense, especially good romantic suspense, pick up Point Blank Protector, or any Stephanie Newton book for that matter. You’ll be glad you did.
