The Baby's Bodyguard continues the stories of the Clark brothers whom we met in previous books in Stephanie Newton's Emerald Coast 911 series. After losing his wife and infant son in an explosion tied to his undercover assignment, Ethan Clark, leaves his position as an undercover FBI agent to work with Florida's Fish and Wildlife service.
Imagine his surprise when he receives a text with GPS coordinates for a boat rescue, only to find the only occupant is a toddler. He immediately calls child protective services and Kelsey Rogers is dispatched to care for the toddler. But before long, an attempt is made on the child's life and Ethan and Kelsey must flee for their lives. They seek refuge at the Restoration Cove, and along with sparks flying between the couple some very unexpected secrets are revealed.
The Baby's Bodyguard is a unique and compelling read. As usual, Newton continues to give the reader compassionate characters, a fresh and timely plot, and a relevant faith message. I have read all of Newton's books, and I never tire of reading her work. She never disappoints the reader and always provides an enjoyable read that you are unable to put down.
