I won this book recently and am glad I did. I liked the look of the story and wasn't disappointed. The story revolves around a Christian youth detention center which seems to be the recruiting ground for a drug ring. The heroine is Kim whose father started the center and wants to keep it going and has a real heart for helping these youth. For her its not just a job its a calling to work with the youth and help them.
Ethan is a detective who is undercover to find out how the youth are being recruited. Both are not interested in romance as both have had there own issues. As the story goes on we see Kim in danger and Ethan drawn to helping her.
I found the story interesting and I wanted to know what would happen, who was involved and why. Kim also has to deal with an over protective brother who seems to think she is incapable of making the right decisions. There is so much more I would love to say about the book but will leave that for readers to find out themselves.
One thing I do appreciate about this book is the premise of the story with the idea of a Christian youth detention center giving youth a chance to have a better future and hope. Many of the youth are boys who had nowhere else to go or had done things only because they had nowhere else to turn. This sort of center gives them a chance of a life. Good read.
