Robyn Stanley is a typical teenager. She’s a high school student, attends youth group, leads the praying at the pole at the school, and is a Christian. She also has a close group of friends, and likes two boys. Robyn is a prayer warrior, the girl that everyone turns to when they need prayer.
But then a hostile reporter targets the school for the praying at the pole, and Robyn comes under fire for daring to pray for individuals, the school, and the community without asking everyone’s permission. Claiming it violates everyone’s right to pray to their own God, the reporter gets really nasty. Robyn grows even more serious about her walk with God—but her devotion has stirred up two demons that have been given orders to destroy her.
DRIVEN is Ms. Neumeier’s debut novel. I agreed to be an influencer book for this book, not realizing at the time that it was about spiritual warfare – something I believe in, but not something I generally like to read about.
However, DRIVEN is written for teenagers and I found it to be a good read. I couldn’t help but care for Robyn and her group of friends, and hope that the demons couldn’t gain a foothold in their lives.
DRIVEN is a book I recommend for all high school students. It brings to life in a tangible way the very real spiritual warfare that is occurring around us.
