Saving Hope is definitely one of my top reads of the year because the story deals with an issue that is prevalent today. The story deals with child prostitution and how easy it is for teens to be recruited.
Kate is the director of a program to help girls who have been rescued, escaped and arrested from their lives as prostitutes and is helping them to rebuild their lives and have a future. Wyatt is a Texas Ranger who works for the task force working to stop these rings. The story deals with a teen who goes to the aid of another and becomes trapped herself. At the same time, Wyatt has a daughter he is worried about and is being very protective of, which at times, causes issues between the two and could lead to trouble.
The book also highlights things for parents and teens to look out for in someone who is trying to recruit or groom them and it may be the information that will save a reader's child or child they are acquainted with.
The book flowed well and was hard to put down, and at the same time was informative. If you are a parent, grandparent or have friends with children and teens this is a book well worth reading and sharing with teens. Not only do you get a great book to read you get very useful information on a subject that many do not think about or realize how prevalent it is.
