Safe Haven for the Holidays
The thrilling Amish Protectors conclusion
Leaving the nursing home where she works, Rosie Glick’s accosted by a man demanding incriminating evidence her murdered boyfriend stole—until Ezra Stoltz scares him off. Now with a killer dead set on silencing the Amish single mother, Ezra must hide Rosie and her baby to keep them safe. But can he expose a sinister conspiracy in time to save the woman he secretly loves
My thoughts: True to Love Inspired Suspense formula, Rosie Glick is attacked in the first chapter and the hits just keep on coming. The first attack is enough to kill the average person--or at very least break a few bones. But Rosie is made of stronger stuff and ended up with mere scratches. I have to admire the woman's strength.
The hits just keep on coming but the nursing home scene was not at all realistic for so many reasons. I asked a CNA questions concerning the scenario and it was shot down. Contrived, but an Amish girl might not know correct protocol and realise she was being set up big time. In fact, I'm not sure that many teenage or early twenty year old CNAs would realize it.
Other than that, one has to wonder what did Will have? Why did the "bad guy" think that Rosie had it? How did she escape from the dungeon she was locked into prior to the story? And how will the "bad guy" mess up badly enough to get caught? What will happen next? And with the opening of the story such a black moment, how black would the one at the end be?
If you like suspense that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat, heart-pounding, then AMISH CHRISTMAS SECRETS is a book to consider. It's available now. And set in an Amish community that is anything but peaceful in this suspense. Wow. This is heart-pounding suspense at its finest.
