From the back cover:
Her brother was murdered.
Will she be next?
While searching for proof that her brother’s death was no accident, Lilah Schwartz is almost killed by a sniper in her Amish community. Hiding in Levi Burkholder’s barn is all that keeps her alive. The former soldier will do everything in his power to protect Lilah, but can he and Lilah uncover the evidence her brother hid before she’s the next to die?
My Take:
Amish Country Threats is an intense and fast paced suspense with a mystery, romance and faith theme. Lilah’s determination, strong will and resilient spirit gave her the endurance she needed to face being shot at more than once. Levi’s past experience in the service gave him insight to the life threatening happenings when he was with Lilah as they were trying to find what her brother had said in his final moments. Dana R. Lynn knows how to create a tale that leaps from the vivid scenes, thoughts and dialog to keep a person reading till the end. Why was Jacob’s life taken? Who’s trying to destroy Lilah and evidence for their own selfish reasons?
Even though this is the tenth book in Lynn’s Amish Country Justice series, it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend reading each one of the books to see how the author’s creativity has grown with complex situations as the suspense builds for characters that are running for their lives to be spared by the offenders.
