From the back cover: A courageous colonial spy A daring British captain Will they risk it all to win at love?
At the height of the Revolutionary War, Tyra MacGregor works to thwart the British Army as a colonial spy. Although her friendship with the natives allows her to keep eyes on her adversaries, Tyra’s sleuthing ways come to a screeching halt when Captain Donahue “Hugh” Morgan puts her under house arrest. Yet even under guard, Tyra’s strong convictions and unshakable faith in God remain . . . and cause Hugh to call his own beliefs into question.
When Tyra saves Hugh’s life after an attack, he vows to return the favor. Before he can intervene, however, she is caught by his superior officer and imprisoned. Hugh is supposed to be at war with her, and yet the battle is inside. Why can he not shake the feelings he has for his supposed enemy? With his honor, faith, and loyalty on the line, what will he choose? Will he fight for love . . . or country?
Tyra is loyal to America, Hugh is loyal to England. Tyra is fighting for independence, Hugh is fighting to keep control. This puts an enormous amount of tension upon these two that should not lead to romance. However… Once the romance does begin what do they do? Should they be loyal to their countries or loyal to God and to each other? The Revolutionary War and spies are just some of the ingredients that are in this recipe for action, adventure and suspense. This is a very exciting book and Ms. Hudson has filled it with great characters that live on the pages. We come to care for these two as we would for our friends and we want them to succeed. Want a fun read that will not only entertain you but make you think as well? Well then I recommend “For Love Or Country”.
