From the back cover: If Ginny Reed is still alive–who is the woman buried in her grave?
After losing her parents and her sister, Christy Reed has been mired in grief. Now, life is finally starting to feel normal again–until an envelope addressed in her sister’s handwriting arrives in the mail. And the note inside claims she is still alive.
FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor, a former Delta Force operator, is assigned to reopen the case . . . but he’s coming up with more questions than answers. Is Christy a pawn in a twisted cat-and-mouse game–or the target of a sinister plot? As Lance digs deeper, one thing becomes clear: someone in the shadows has a deadly agenda.
Bestselling author and three-time RITA Award winner Irene Hannon pulls out all the stops in this high-stakes thriller that races to a bone-chilling finish.
Irene Hannon is in top form. From the very beginning this is an exciting read and it gets more exciting as you go on. Ginny Reed dies on page one yet did she? And if she didn’t who was buried in her grave? Who is after Christy? If Christy and Lance are going to stay alive then they are going to have to figure out the answers. The murderer, of course, does not want them to succeed and will stop at nothing to prevent them from doing so. It is going to take both of them to protect each other and finally uncover the truth. I like Christy and Lance and their budding romance. With “Thin Ice” Ms. Hannon has given us a thriller that becomes more and more exciting until the last hundred pages which is an extremely wild ride. This is a fun read, it is a fast read, however I do not recommend starting this book late at night because it will cost you sleep as you will not want to put it down. Ms. Hannon is an excellent writer and knows how to twist your nerve endings as she tightens the suspense. I recommend this book, and everything else that Ms. Hannon has written, highly!!
