The plot for this story is absolutely fantastic. From the moment that Krista finds the bomb at the soccer stadium the suspense builds. There are brief periods when there is no actual danger to allow everyone (characters and readers alike) to catch their breath and relax some.
As the story progresses we come to find that Krista’s grandfather, Opa or Otto, is the strong Christian in this novel. His faith is unshaken by what is going on and at time he is able to speak words of wisdom to both Krista and Cash. He is encouraging them to trust God with what is going on as well as with their pasts. I love reading stories with this faith-based focus. Even with this present in the story it never feels preachy or like religion is being forced on anyone.
