A spy with amnesia—and a mission he can’t remember
When Casper English lands in her ER with amnesia, Dr. Ashley Drager learns he has a picture of her…and the same tattoo as her long-missing father. With a dangerous man after Casper, and his memories possibly holding the key to finding Ashley’s father, she secretly whisks him away from the hospital. But can she keep him alive long enough to help him regain his memories?
My take:
Fugitive Spy was a very good suspense novel. I tend to really enjoy good amnesia stories and so I was looking forward to starting this book to see how that storyline progressed. One thing I love about Redwood’s novels is how the medical aspect seems to be very believable and I feel like that is due to the author actually knowing the topic (she’s an ER nurse).
I liked the characters, but I don’t think I can pick a favorite. The romance was nice, however I think it moved a little too quickly for my taste. I was intrigued by the mystery and loved following along as Casper and Ashley discovered answers.
All in all, Fugitive Spy was well written and an enjoyable read. If you like romantic suspense stories, I recommend it.
I’m an avid reader who loves books that keep me glued to the page, anticipating what is going to happen next, and suspense books definitely give me that!
