Pastor Oliver Macpherson’s belief is that anyone can be rehabilitated and can change, including hard core criminals. Tess isn’t convinced, but she chooses to trust Oliver’s opinion. Because of his strong faith, Tess gives in to the FBI and finds a place for the young witness. But, trouble brews pretty quick.
As the story builds, the suspense grows. There for a while, I struggled with all the characters involved in this novel, but as I kept reading the plot fell into place. I quickly connected the dots between the characters in the Prologue and the protagonist and antagonists.
Cold Aim is a great read. It held my attention and kept me intrigued. I took the novel with me as I ran errands. Yes, I was the lady in the grocery line with my nose in a book.
Janice Cantore did a fine job keeping up with everyone, tying up loose ends; all while building a romance between Tess and Oliver, despite their differences.
I give this book four stars.
