My take:

This is book six in the Callahan Confidential series, however I do feel it is a standalone book. You will miss history of the Callahan family and they solve a crime that has woven its way through all the previous books, not to mention some great reads, but it is not necessary to follow along with the main focus of this novel.

The lone wolf of the family, Mike Callahan, is the main character in this book. When Mike’s past and present collide he must refocus on what is important and relook at facts, all while protecting Shayla and Brodie.

This novel is packed with suspense, mystery, romance, questions and so much more.
