FBI Special Agent Lincoln St. John is living his own personal nightmare. When the woman he loves, Allison Radcliffe, is killed, he devotes himself to tracking down the killers and making them pay for their crimes. He expected it to be a challenge. What he never expected was to find Allison very much alive shortly after her “murder.”
As his anger and hurt mix with relief, Linc isn’t sure how he’s supposed to feel. One thing he does know for sure: he and Allison will have to work together to stop a killer before she dies a second time–this time for good.
Bestselling and award-winning author Lynette Eason closes out her Blue Justice series with a story that will have you tearing through the pages to get to the stunning conclusion.
My thoughts: VOW OF JUSTICE is the final book of the Blue Justice series featuring the St. John family. Fans will want to read Oath of Honor, Called to Protect, and Code of Valor to get the stories of the other St. John siblings.
I did love Linc. He was truly a sensitive guy and knew when to back off with Allie and to even let her take charge. Allie on the other hand, held people–and the reader–distant and as a result I didn’t relate well with her. This book did have plenty of suspense, but the passion, the sexual tension, and the level of edge-of-the-seatness in Ms. Eason’s other novels is missing. As a result, this story kind of dragged.
There were twists I never saw coming, some exciting moments, and definitely some nail-biting suspense, and I had strong suspicions who the mole was. I won’t tell you if I’m right or not.
Fans of romantic suspense will want to read VOW OF JUSTICE. A good read and recommended.
